How Events Build Community, Create Lasting Impact
Honoring a Legacy Through Community & Purpose
First Tracks and Brunch event with the Live Like Sam Foundation at Park City Mountain Resort was a beautiful reminder of what community and partnership can do when it comes together with heart and purpose. We all gathered not just to ski but to honor Sam’s legacy. What makes this mission especially inspiring is how Ron Jackenthal, Sam’s father, transformed unimaginable pain into purpose by founding and leading an organization rooted in kindness and compassion to help local youth.
As someone who’s spent years leading global events, I’ve learned that the most impactful experiences aren’t defined by production or scale they’re defined by purpose. First Tracks wasn’t just an event; it was a shared moment of connection, remembrance, and community coming together to carry forward Sam’s legacy.
From an event professional’s perspective, the emotional connection was real-the kind you can’t manufacture. It showed how events can go beyond attendance to build true community, create lasting impact, and turn remembrance into momentum.
This experience grounded me in something I often remind teams and clients: events are platforms for storytelling — and when rooted in purpose, they become movements.
Grateful to support a mission that continues to bring people together in such a meaningful way. 💙🤍🎿⛷️
